We will together make progress in advancement of mini dental implant dentistry and make a dent in the universe ( as Steve Jobs had said).
Mini implant dentistry is a fairly young discipline and it is expected to grow rapidly in the near future because of its obvious and extraordinary benefits for the patients.
At the present time, mini implants are mostly offered as an alternative treatment option when patients cannot accept conventional implant treatment for whatever reason. One major reason for this is because of the fact that mini implants do not at this time have the long term track records. In due time, this problem will solve itself.
I strongly believe that someday in the near future mini implants will be offered as a first treatment of choice for removable implant treatment for edentulous mandible. In the mean time, we will position ourselves to be the experts in providing mini implant care clinically and in the eyes of the public through more education and experience.
